Thank You calls
LITE needs volunteers to help us acknowledge the wonderful support of our donors. On Tuesday, February 26th from 4:30-6:30 pm, we will need help making thank you calls to our donors (don’t worry, absolutely no soliciting is involved, we only call our donors to thank them for their support). The calls will take place at Safe Workers of Tomorrow office, 1-804 Portage Avenue (corner of Portage and Arlington). Contact us… if you’d like to help us brighten someone’s day.
‘Give Change to Make Change’ Campaign
LITE is collecting pennies and other change from generous Winnipegers looking to donate their penny/change jars as the penny goes out of circulation. In February & March, we will need volunteers to help us with dropping off and picking up penny collection boxes at businesses, schools and faith-based organizations who are collecting for LITE. We will also need help with cashing in the change at the bank and/or credit union.
Contact us… if you are interested in volunteering your time and your car to help with LITE’s ‘Give Change to Make Change’ Campaign.

Kicking off the new year with a campaign about CED. Help spread the word.
We have been investing in Winnipeg’s inner city communities since 1994. We raise funds to support the inner city’s long-term community economic development (CED). The solutions to poverty in Winnipeg demands long-term strategies built on the initiatives of local residents. This is the basis of our two disbursement programs: Community Organization Grants and Christmas Hamper Purchases. Spread the word that we do more for the people in your community.
