A “LITE” Change in Staff

New Executive Director and interim Operations Manager for Local Investment Toward Employment

WINNIPEG, MB – June 28, 2016 –Local Investment Toward Employment (LITE) is pleased to announce that our Board of Directors has appointed Tyler Pearce as our new Executive Director taking over for Anne Lindsey. We are also welcoming Angela Forget as the interim Operations Manager while Jen Buhr is on parental leave.

Tyler joins us from The Canadian Mental Health Association where she was the Manager of Regional Affairs, Public Policy and Communications. She brings to this role extensive experience in the community economic development (CED) sector; having fulfilled past roles as the Director of Operations for BUILD Inc., Program Manager and President for the 765 Main St. project which is now the Social Enterprise Centre where the LITE office is currently located. She’s engaged in the local community through numerous volunteer roles and has several publications on CED and social enterprises in Manitoba.

“As a Board, we want to thank Anne Lindsey for her service to LITE over the last 3 years, and we extend a warm welcome to Tyler Pearce, who will bring both a strong knowledge base and a deep commitment to the community we serve. Board and staff look forward to working with Tyler to continue to advance LITE’s mission of supporting jobs and training in Winnipeg’s inner city” said Janelle Whitley, LITE Board Co-Chair.

Tyler commenced her employment at LITE on June 27th, 2016.
